OUR TEAM 

Andrea L. Sammarco, Esq.

Andrea L. Sammarco's practice is primarily concentrated in the area of civil litigation and counseling. For over 25 years, she has assisted businesses, municipalities and individuals in the areas of labor and employment, contracts, healthcare and benefits law.

Andrea was previously affiliated with Hiscock & Barclay, LLP, in the firm's litigation department, before leaving to form The Sammarco Law Firm, LLP. She is admitted to practice in New York as well as the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Western District of New York.

Andrea is past Chair of the Erie County Bar Association's Labor and Employment Committee, and a regular presenter at CLE accredited regional and statewide conferences on topics of general interest, including alternative dispute resolution, labor and employment, and other issues. In addition to being a long time member of the Erie County Bar, Andrea has held memberships in the the Labor and Employment Relations Association of New York, the Niagara County Bar  Association, the New York Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association, and the New York State Bar Association. Andrea is also a certified mediator through the Cornell School of Industrial and Labor Relations.

Andrea received her law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, with a Certificate of Concentration in State and Local Government Law. She previously served as Attorney for the Town of Pendleton, New York from 2004 - 2013.  

Andrea serves as General Counsel for the Hospice and Palliative Care Group, Inc.. She is a past Board Chair of the Buffalo Audubon Society, and an Advisory Board Member and legal counsel to the New York State Wildlife Rehabilitation Council. Her volunteer activities include the Bless the Beasts Foundation, the Erie County SPCA Wildlife Department and others, and she previously served as in-house counsel for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, a national animal rights/welfare organization. She lives in Clarence, New York with her husband Scott.

Tracy D. Sammarco, Esq.

Tracy Sammarco began her career concentrating her practice in labor and employment law with the law firm of Schwan & Sammarco. She is admitted to practice in New York, and in the United States District Court for the Western District of New York. Tracy is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Erie County Bar's Labor and Employment Law Committee, and the Industrial Relations Research Association. Tracy has served as past editor of the Industrial Relations Research Association's publication, The Common Ground. Tracy is a certified Court Evaluator under Article 81 of the Mental Hygiene Law, and has received recognition from the legal community in the Business First publication of Who's Who in the Law. 

Tracy serves as general counsel to numerous public sector labor unions, with an emphasis on police, fire and first responders. She has extensive experience in contract negotiations, interest arbitration proceedings, disciplinary and grievance arbitration, and litigation to enforce the rights of unions and union members. Tracy brings her extensive experience to bear in fighting for the rights of injured and disabled police officers and firefighters, as well as other employees disabled at work, and lectures frequently on those topics for bar associations and fraternal organizations.

Tracy is a cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo with a BA in English and a minor in Women's Studies. Tracy received her juris doctor from the State University of New York's School of Law, where she received special recognition for her achievement arguing before the Law School's Moot Court. Tracy resides in Orchard Park, New York with her two children.
